Two-Factor Authentication Overview

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a verification code in addition to your password.

Setting Up 2FA

To enable two-factor authentication:

1. Navigate to Settings > Profile > Security
2. Click 'Setup Two-Factor Authentication'
3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
4. Enter the verification code to confirm
5. Save your backup codes in a secure location

Authenticator Apps

Use any TOTP-compatible authenticator app:

• Google Authenticator
• Microsoft Authenticator
• Authy
• 1Password
• LastPass Authenticator

Backup Codes

Backup codes provide access if you lose your authenticator device. Store them securely and use each code only once.

Trusted Devices

Mark frequently used devices as trusted to reduce authentication prompts while maintaining security.

Managing 2FA

Regenerate backup codes, revoke trusted devices, or disable 2FA from your security settings.
